Space Runaway Ideon, probably not as popular as other robots of the 1980s (i.e. Mazinger, Macross) but popular enough to get a Soul of Chogokin (SOC) release. I found this in Japan while searching for other stuff. It wasn't in my wish list but when I saw the price, I grabbed it! I have the vintage Sound Flasher Ideon toy reviewed earlier in my blog, but that was made of plastic. This one however, is a Gokin (diecast) and from the looks of it, it's brand new. The only downside is the packaging have some shelf wear.

Ideon DX comes with

1) sword

2) shoulder cannons x 2

3) Fists x 4

4) 7 x Missiles on a sprue

5) Ideon Gun (Wave Leader Canon) + Body Clip + mini instruction

6) Instruction Sheet

Ideon's body proportion is a bit weird. The figure is very heavy. The body and lower legs are made of diecast metal. This Ideon toy looks new as the chrome on the figure and weapons still looks shiny.

Play features:

1) Firing fist

2) Firing missiles on both his shoulders

3) He can hold the sword. I didn't want to push the sword all the way into his fist as I do not want to scratch the chrome on the sword.

4) Shoulder mounted canons

5) Ideon Gun with missile firing action. The Ideon Gun is attached to a clip which snap on to the body of Ideon.

This Ideon looks pretty good on display, especially with the Ideon Gun attached. If you like diecast robot, would definitely recommend hunting this down.
