This is my second Legendary Defender Voltron, the first one is the regular version.
The difference between this Hyper-phase version and the regular one is different color scheme, different weapons and the Black Lion have a different set of wings. These wings are the reason I got this set. The packaging is similar to the Playmates 84 Voltron boxset (reviewed in earlier post). Box art picture still shows the Voltron's regular wings but the toy picture on the right, shows the hyper phase version.
I wanted to keep this set mint in box as I already have the regular version unboxed and displayed. Unfortunately batteries are included. So I have to remove the Black Lion to get the batteries out. No more mint in box.
The wings are nicely molded, but I think its too small compared to the animation.
This toy is quite expensive in the secondary market now. eBay prices ranges from USD250-350.
