If you've followed my blog, you would know that I am a big Golion/Voltron fan. Here's a little project I did, creating a buyer's guide to Vintage Golion / Voltron. This guide is not exhaustive as there are many variations out there.
Example: The Lionbot alone have variations like V-shape chest, V belt, diamond belt...etc
However, I hope that with this basic guide, you'll know what to look for when you're buying a vintage Golion/Voltron in the secondary market. Enjoy!

Note: Some Lionbot from the 1980s have sharp tooth as well. Other variations of this toy are Jaguarbot, Korean bootleg.

Great guide.
Two pieces of trivia to add:
My childhood Voltron III came in the original Matchbox box and I got a mix of Japanese and Taiwanese lions. Yellow and Green were Japanese and the rest were Taiwanese. I was the original owner and it was new from a store.
I’ve noticed Matchbox Yellow Lions have chrome discs on the ears and the Taiwanese ones have that detail added by the sticker. These stickers are different than the ones Trendmasters master used where the sticker didn’t include the faux chrome disc design. Lionbot has the disc, but it’s grey, not chromed.
