These are cute little SD (Super Deformed) Chogokins (diecast) Super Robot that I am able to acquire locally recently. Being over 20 years old, they are quite pricey in the secondary market. Banpresto issued a few series featuring many super robots. I only have four. Mazinger (which is the rarest and priciest in the secondary market) I got it for a decent price form a local toy store. The other three - Great Mazinger, Daitarn-3 and Raideen - I got it online locally for a very good price. Let's check them out:-

The box is a clam shell made to look like a book. It is made of cheap and flimsy plastic. In fact the Mazinger box is crushed in the side.

Mazinger is from the first series. The box open like a book.

Despite its small size, it has great paint job! The lower legs are diecast. So its heavy for a mini figure. The Hover Pilder plugs into Mazinger's head securely.

The arms and head are articulated. His hands can detach to simulate rocket punch!

The other robots from the first series is Combattler and Gundam.
The other three robots I've got are from the second series.

Great Mazinger comes with extra hand, sword and Scrander (wings).

Similar to Mazinger, his legs are diecast.

One minor issue - Great Mazinger head have a small gap for the Brain Condor to just rest on it and doesn't plug in securely like the Mazinger's Hover Pilder.

Here the Mazinger brothers together!

Daitarn-3 comes with sword, fan and wings. His legs are diecast.

Raideen is different from the rest. His weapons are molded in his hands. He comes with parts to form the God Bird mode. Raideen's body is diecast.

Molded weapons on his right and left hand.

To transform to God Bird mode, unplug the the head and arms and attach the wings and Bird head. His legs are raised with a special connector.

If you are a Super Robot Chogokin collector, I'll definitely recommend you to hunt these down. All of them have great paint jobs, moving head and arms and accessories for fun play. Most of all, they are diecast and looks fantastic on display!
