Standing about 4" tall, this is one of the rarer vintage Victora gokin robot. These mini Victora toys are sold cheaply back in the days. As such, the plastic quality is inferior. Tetsujin 28 is one of the most sought after, rare and expensive vintage robot. The Standard (ST) and Deluxe (DX) version of the figure are very expensive and hard to come by. Then there's this little one which I bought from eBay. According to the seller, this toy is from way back 1978. I am not really sure as there's no date indication on the box or figure, so I guess I'll just take his word for it.

The back of the box features characters from Tetsujin 28 cartoon. This is interesting because it differs from other Victora robot packaging which usually show other robot offering.

Unlike the Victora robots Daltanias and Battle Fever J (reviewed in earlier post) which comes with missiles and weapons, Tetsujin 28 doesn't come with any weapons. It has a firing fist, a rocket backpack and a lame plastic coin with Tetsujin face embossed on it.

Pic below - Ooops! Got his jetpack upside down.

There it is - the correct way to mount his jetpack!

He looks ok. Only his chest is made of diecast.

Pic below - Notice the super thin plastic firing mechanism on his arm.

Sadly, the firing fist doesn't work on his right arm. The firing mechanism is made of thin plastic. I didn't want to fiddle with it as it looks very fragile. The left fist fires but the spring had weakened over the years.

Pic below - the plastic coin. Duh! would prefer they included his axe instead.

I had mixed feelings on this purchase. It's expensive for a small figure. It doesn't have any play value except for the firing fist. There's also minimal paint detail. However this negative feeling is compensated with its rarity. eBay prices ranges from USD150-180. Would recommend this only if you're a Tetsujin or vintage robot fan.
