KFC CHICKY MEAL - GONGXI RAYA
This set has been in my wish list recently. I thought about it as I was teaching my students about synergy and valuing differences in a multi-cultural country. The highest level of synergy is to celebrate differences and we had such an occasion almost 20 years ago. In 1998 (if not mistaken) the Chinese New Year and the Hari Raya fell on the same week, back to back. As such, KFC in Malaysia issued these unique premiums that year titled "Gongxi Raya" (literally translated as "sharing celebration".

Those days I haven't started collecting food premiums yet so I didn't own any of these.
However, last Sunday I found a complete set still sealed in package in the flea market - and selling at a dirt cheap price. I grabbed it without hesitation obviously.

I am very pleased because this to me, is a special set. It celebrated beauty in diversity and I don't when will be next time when Chinese New year meets Hari Raya again.
