POPY CHOGOKIN BEAST KING GOLION vs BANDAI GODAIKIN GOLION

Just wanted to photograph my two favorite robots side by side and make some comparisons between the two.

First, let's look at the box art. Popy Chogokin on the left and Bandai Godaikin on the right.

The boxes are the same size. The Popy version looks more dynamic with pictures of the pilots.

One thing good about the Godaikin packaging is that it has a list of all the accessories that comes with the robot printed on the box. This is useful as it allows you to check for missing items when buying these in the secondary market.

The inner cardboard comparison.

Once the inner cardboard is removed, it's looks similar.

But there are differences - The Popy Black Lion is on the left. Notice the Popy version have a small red oval Popy Logo sticker in his butt.

Both have sharp teeth.

The red and green lion differences are in the joints and tails. the Popy version have chrome joints and chrome tail whereas the Godaikin version is grey plastic.

Couldn't find any difference in the blue and yellow lions.

The foil stickers for both versions look the same.

One final variation - two of the weapons on the Popy set are red whereas the Godaikin ones are grey plastic.
