1995 KENNER BATMAN FOREVER ELECTRONIC BATMOBILE

This was not on my wish list because I already had the Batman Forever Triple Vehicle Set. This was not my choice because it has electronics. Being a mostly mint in box collector, I seldom play or display my toys. And the electronics in toys will not work over time, even if it''s unplayed with. I've had my bad experience with some Star Wars electronics toys and some Disney electronics toys. I am totally not a fan of electronics toys. This toy was for on sale for a reasonable price and that's the only reason I got it.

The seller said the Batmobile is mint and never displayed. That's not entirely true. It is missing the instructions and catalog. But the toy is complete. And it was dusty and the transparent windscreen is cloudy. Luckily it can be wiped clean.

The Batmobile is very detail. It has a 'ribs' like body to let you see the engines inside. And it will light up - more on this later. Play features - shooting missiles, flip up side fins guns (it doesn't look like guns) and spread open tail fins.

Now the electronics part. To my horror - it doesn't work! I checked and found out there's still a pair of old batteries inside! One part of the battery compartment already had batteries stains due to battery leakage. I was very disappointed. So I tried my luck to fix it. Went to the supermarket and bought some lemons. Squeeze out the lemon juice, dip it with a cotton swab and I began to clean the battery compartment.

Ans voila! It works! Once lighted up, it's quite a beauty.

The light is very bright. It lights up the cockpit and seats too.

It only uses one light bulb. And it's so bright.

This Batmobile is still quite easy to find in eBay. Prices ranges from USD80-120.

This is a nice addition to my Batmobile collection.
