This is one great vintage toy. It's actually 2-in-1 toy that include a plastic Tetsuwan Atom (Astroboy) figure and his internal mechanical skeleton. Some parts of his inner mechanical skeleton are made of diecast. There are many ways you can play or display this.
The box art is simply beautiful!

Inner cardboard cover (pic below)

The mechanical arms and tank treads are diecast.

Let's look at Tetsuwan Atom first.

His chest panel opens and have the basic 5 points articulation.

Now let's look at the mechanical skeleton. It is made of different parts and you can mix and match them to create your own robot or weapon. He has 'diamond-cut' eyes. Very cool!

This is the basic robot configuration.

This looks like "Wall-E" or is it "Wall-E" who looks like him?

Robot Sphinx?

Now for the fun part - putting the mechanical skeleton into Tetsuwan Atom. My figure have very tight joints and I was afraid that I might break it while trying to remove the plastic panels. (This toy is presumably over 30 years old!) After some time, managed to get all panels open.

The mechanical skeleton fits in nicely.

His feet have pop-out rocket booster with a press of a button behind his legs. Obviously now he's pretty heavy with his internal skeleton.

Included are two special screw drivers that you can plug into his chest panel. Turning the screwdriver will make the internal gears turn as well.

Size comparison - Here he's with a 3.75" Hasbro Indiana Jones figure. He's about 8-9"tall.

The 2-sided instruction sheet.

The unused sticker sheet.

This is quite a rare toy. I just saw one sold on eBay recently for USD499.
