This is a 1990s re-issue of the 1970s toy by Takara. There are not many info of this toy on the web, but based on some write-up, the toy is identical to the original except for the missiles and some added accessories. More on this later. This is a 2-in-1 boxset, featuring Jeeg and Panzeroid. These figures are sold separately too.

Very nice and colorful packaging.

And the figures are in styrofoam tray.

There's a mini poster cum instruction for Jeeg.

It shows a very nice cut-away illustration of Jeeg.

Just like in the animation, Jeeg joints are combined via magnets. The joints on my figure are pretty tight.

His belly fires missiles and drills.

Being a vintage 1970s toy re-issue, he comes with shooting fist (sort of a must-have in vintage robot toys) feature on both arms and it also shoots the red drill. But the spring is a bit weak on my specimen.

The red drill thingy can be attached to his arms or legs.

And the drill can be placed behind as a backpack too.

Now for the horse, Panzeroid. He doesn't comes with instruction on my set but it does comes with a set of stickers for detailing.

The horse's hooves are a separate piece. Picture at the end of the blog.

He can transform into a horse with wheels thingy. Included in the set are two black rubber bands to wrap around the rear tyres. I didn't want to do that because this toy is about 20 years old, the rubber band had already hardened.

Jeeg can combine with Panzeroid to form a sort of Centaur. The horse head pops open to reveal two magnetic joints.

A Centaur robot - Jeeg Panzeroid! The horse sides have two magnetic joints to attach the rocket firing weapon.

Jeeg comes with a special pair of hands that enable him to hold the lance weapon. The original version doesn't comes with the lance and the hands.

The horse's hooves, Jeeg's belly missiles, horse missiles and extra pair of firing fist! Both Jeeg and Panzeroid feels quite sturdy. The magnetic joints are strong. My only concern are the legs of the horse are attached using friction and over time this will become loose.

Overall this is a fun toy to play with. He's made of plastic except the joints which is die-cast and magnets, thus making him quite a hefty figure. It is still easily available in the secondary market. eBay price is about USD80.
