HELLO KITTY MAZINGER COLOR & MAZINGER HELLO KITTY COLOR CHOGOKIN

This is not everyone's cup of tea - Mazinger in Hello Kitty color and Hello Kitty in Mazinger color Chogokin set! I got the Kitty when I visited Japan and bought the Mazinger locally to complete the set. This two are basically re-issues with different color and deco. Hello Kitty has exactly the same gimmicks as previous release. Mazinger is from the Super Robot Chogokin (SRC) Series and as far as the figure is concern, it's the same as previous release. However he had different accessories.

The Inner cardboard.

Let's look at Mazinger first. The instruction sheet gave a lot of caution and warnings - from paint rubs to delicate parts. Made me nervous assembling him.

He comes with a nice chrome base that displays the Jet Scrander and sword.

He also comes with a super chromy Hello Kitty buckle belt.

Mazinger - with a gigantic ribbon chest piece!

Had tried putting the Kitty buckle belt on his waist but it was very tight. Forcing it will definitely scratch the paint off his waist. So I didn't put it on. Anyway he doesn't need the belt to put on the Scrander.

As for Kitty, he's almost all chrome and you have a Kitty as Koji Kobuto figure.

Same gimmicks as previous release.

Kitty has rocket punch feature and its way more heavier than the Mazinger figure.

Mazinger set came with an extra exclusive pair of hands - the 'handshake' hands to simulate Mazinger and Hello Kitty shaking hands.. But this is a very difficult pose to achieve. Kitty's head is all die-cast, making him top heavy and he keeps tumbling over as we try to stand him in this pose. Took me a while to get the right.
