Went to Japan following a tour but managed to find some interesting toys there.
In Osaka Den Den Town, there are lots of vintage chogokins, jumbos, vinyls figures ...a very good place for vintage collector like me! In Tokyo, there's this place called Big Camera that also sell lots of newer toys. My only disappointment was I missed out Akihabara because the tour didn't stopped there. Tokyo....I'll be back!

The Gundams here are much cheaper than back home (obviously). Back home some toy shops charge you an additional 3% for using credit card. But here they actually gave you a 5% discount if you use credit card. And if you show them your passport, you get another 8% discount as a tourist!

Look at those vintage chogokins.....

Vintage jumbos...

Toys from Big Camera Osaka

Toy Mask from a Kyoto shop

Toy shop in Shinjuku, about 4 floors of toys. The toys here are more expensive than the few shops I visited previously.

There's a Pokemon merchandise shop in Kansai airport

and finally a small toy section in a Japanese souvenir shop in Haneda airport.

Just like Hong Kong, you can find lots of old and new toys in Japan. This is a good place for toy hunting especially vintage toys.
