VINTAGE KENNER M.A.S.K. RHINO
M.A.S.K. was a popular cartoon and toyline in the 80s. However I wasn't a fan of M.A.S.K. so I wasn't collecting any of its toys. Recently I traded a Batman toy with a M.A.S.K. Rhino vehicle and playset. It is complete with some play wear. This is my first M.A.S.K toy and I am really impressed by it. Rhino is a truck that comes with two figures Matt Tracker and Sato.
The helmets are made of soft rubbery plastic. They are prone to cracks and breakage. Mine is still in good condition fortunately. (I've accidentaly put on the wrong mask on the figures. The mask colors should match their uniforms.)
The play features:
There are two chrome buttons behind the cab. Press the left button, the front grills pops out. Press the right button, the right seat and door pops open, works like an ejecting seat.
The smoke stacks can be tilted down to form canons.
Both doors can be open and the figures fits inside.
The back section of the truck can be detached and becomes an all terrain vehicle. And another figure can fit inside the vehicle. The back portion of the cab can be open to form a battle station kinda thing. It fires a big black missile.
Another interesting note - the tyres are made of rubber, (which is prone to cracks and breakage) and it is branded "Good Year".
I am really impressed with this toy. It has tons of play features and gimmicks and it's surely a collectible gem. This toy is not really rare as it is quite easy available in eBay.
