This is one of the lesser known 1980s robot, Laserion. What is interesting about this is the anime is the first to feature the concept of virtual reality. I've never watched this anime as a kid and I guess it was never shown here. I managed to get a 5" Laserion from Bandai America Godaikin line. The box and styrofoam is very crappy but the toy is reasonably mint and 98% complete.

My set is missing one red missile and the instruction. The sword is cracked and fragile but not broken. There's a little paint wear on the chest. Other than that, the robot and accessories are mint.

Features & Accessories:
1) 6 missiles on tree (mine have 5 only)
2) Giant Beam bazooka gun that fires missiles
3) Big chromed 'Energy' sword
4) 2 x small Laser guns that attaches to the knees
5) Removable mini aircraft that docks on the hexagonal head structure
6) Diecast body and thighs
7) Good articulatation on shoulders, elbow, wrist 'ball jointed' legs, knees and feet!

I like this aircraft docking on the head feature, which was a popular mecha concept back in the 70s and 80s.

I've mistakenly put the small guns in his hands (My set didn't come with instructions) Not until I read a review of this robot in CollectionDX that I realized these guns were meant for the knees. No wonder they don't fit in the hands.

This is how it's supposed to be.

Made in Japan. Quite rare now. eBay price about USD80-150 for a mint and complete specimen.
