My classmate brought a Star Wars Micro Snowspeeder to school and was playing in class. What made me remember this was a cool feature he showed me. Press a button on the speeder and it breaks apart to simulate battle damage. I was instantly hooked but back then, I never had any Star Wars micro toys. Few years back I managed to acquire some Star Wars Micro items. Among them are the X-Wing and the Tie-Fighter, boxed and complete with instructions. And these also have the break apart features!

Both vehicles comes with a mini diecast figure, instruction sheet and stickers. The Tie-fighter have an opening hatch that fits the diecast imperial pilot. It breaks into 3 parts when a button behind the cockpit is pushed. The parts are held together by thin plastic.

The X-Wing have opening canopy that fits the diecast rebel pilot, a retractable landing gear and opening wings. It also breaks into 3 parts and the parts are held together by a thin layer of plastic. What worries me is that over time, in a hot and humid weather, this thin plastic will deteriorates and snaps. Hopefully that doesn't happen.
