I've only seen the US version of the cartoon - Saber Riders and the Star Sheriifs. It was aired in the late eighties (1987 I think). In Japan it is known as Star Musketeer Bismarck. It features a "cowboy" looking giant robot that transforms into a space cruiser piloted by 3 guys and a girl. The robot in the show is voiced by Peter Cullen. (The same guy that voice Optimus Prime!)

This toy is the Japan Chogokin GC-23 version, issued by Bandai. Here's the cool box art.

This is the ST (standard) version which is about 5" tall. Action features includes shooting left fist, flip down chest canon, working holster for the gun and hidden legs missiles. (Mine comes pack with 6 mini yellow missiles). The cape (or poncho) is made of soft vinyl. There's a little disappointment in terms of weight. This figure is very light being a chogokin because only the legs are made of diecast metal. the good new is this figure is highly articulated - see pic of instruction sheet.

Similar to many Japanese cartoons of the 1980s, you know the show is going to end when the 'Heroic Robot' dishes out their ultimate weapon. For Bismarck/Ramrod, the ultimate weapon are these chest canons and gun. This figures comes with these weapons. Exercise extreme care when you are pulling the chest canons out. The canons are made of plastic and excessive force will definitely break it. It has the Bandai logo and Chogokin logo molded on the legs.

A mint in box with complete accesories specimen is hard to come by in eBay, making this figure quite pricey. eBay Price range : USD130-200.
