1980s VOLTRON PART 7 - PANOSH PLACE CASTLE OF LIONS AND PILOTS

Panosh Place Castle of Lions is one great playset, loaded with accessories and play features. I would give a 10/10 for fun factor. How I wish I had this when I was a kid. Let's get started:

This is the front and back view of the castle.

The middle cone thing can be removed and used as an escape pod.

All the castle cones thingy can be open and transform to a turret with guns (pic below)

Once opened, the castle have 3 sections. Left sections is a weapons station and below it is a tomb. Middle section is a control center (top) and map room (below). The right section features a hanging elevator and below is a space for a shuttle.

Spooky play gimmicks - ghost and coffin that opens revealing a mummy type sarcophagus.

The playset comes with a larger golden key which functions as a gate opener.

The map room, command centre, weapons rack and...tomb with ghost?!!

On the right side of the castle there's a hanging elevator thing where the pilots would use it to slide down to a shuttle. The shuttle will then take them to their lions. The shuttle is included in the Castle of Lions playset. The pilots came with a removable helmet and key. There are no weapons. The keys are pretty useless. It has a clip at the back and can be worn as a badge. Luckily my set of pilots still have nice white uniform (usually they turned yellow by now...these toys are over 30 years old) and hope it will stay that way.

Here are some comparison of the cartoon's design and the toy design. Well I think Panosh Place did their best to make it look as accurate as possible..(except for the shuttle)

This playset is huge. Taller than the Voltron. A mint with box complete with accessories specimen is selling for USD350-400 in eBay. Easier to find loose ones.
